Description

GSLA will assist with data retrieval and management, recurring departmental processes, the annual Faculty Bookplate event, and various assessment and collections projects.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assists with data retrieval and management, such as usage statistics for electronic resources
  • Assists with compiling, cleaning, and analyzing data
  • Updates item and order information in the Library’s integrated system (Alma)
  • Assists with tasks related to the annual Faculty Bookplate event
  • Assists with recurring departmental processes
  • Assists with other various assessment and collections projects as needed
  • May assist with LibGuide and website maintenance

Required Qualifications

  • Current graduate student
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Ability to learn how to use various computer programs and systems
  • Ability to complete duties without close supervision
  • Ability to work well with others

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate student in Information Sciences or related program
  • Experience working with an integrated library system (ILS)
  • Experience editing webpages in WordPress, Drupal, LibGuides, or similar platforms
  • Experience working in libraries
  • Knowledge of L.C. call number system
