ETLA Board Meeting

I. Welcome: Meeting was called to order at approximately 10:15 am.
II. Minutes from April 25, 2013 were presented by Matthew Jordan and approved by the board
III. Membership: Discussed adding a student rate to increase membership and possibly partnering with the Tennessee Library Association for joint membership.
IV. Treasurer’s Report: $1475.86 currently in bank account. Agreed to add Anjanae to the bank account because she is now treasurer. Also discussed switching to a new bank and how current account was created and future ideas for banking situation (possibility of getting a tax ID number and whose address we could use for this)
V. Newsletter: Talked about what should be included in the newsletter. Divided up events to send short articles to Jennifer for the ETLA newsletter.
VI. Programming: Discussed future ETLA programs including:
- a fall hike/picnic in October,
- a holiday book brag in December,
- a Career Panel/Mentor program in the spring,
- and the Rothrock Lecture/Dinner in April. Matthew asked for ideas of potential Rothrock speakers.
- also discussed doing a library oriented service project for the National Day of Service in January.
