eXtension’s HorseQuest DELIVERS the “best of the best” university research-based information on horses via the Internet. eXtension (pronounced “e-extension”) is an educational partnership of more than 70 universities that has the national shared strength of the Land Grant University System customized to focus on local area information. eXtension complements and enhances the community-based Cooperative Extension System of the land-grant universities.
HorseQuest, found at www.extension.org/horses, is an interactive website that provides news, events, frequently asked questions, and “Ask the Expert” features as well as in-depth learning modules on equine-related topics. It is the first of twenty-one eXtension ‘communities of practice’ to be set up online. Doyle Meadows, Extension Horse Specialist at UT, is a member of the eXtension ‘community of practice’.
