UT Libraries and The Wall Street Journal Partner to Bring Sponsored Memberships to Campus

UT Libraries has partnered with The Wall Street Journal to provide sponsored memberships to all University of Tennessee Knoxville students, faculty, and staff.

“The Libraries provides access to the WSJ through a number of academic databases,” says Collection Strategist and assistant professor Jennie Mezick. “This access differs because it enables students, faculty, and staff to interact with the WSJ as they would outside of academia. Faculty from across disciplines adopted the resource for use in classroom activities and assignments during a recent year-long trial, demonstrating its value to the University’s teaching and learning mission.”

Students can take advantage of a number of valuable resources:

  • WSJ’s Student Hub—curated content focused on job prep, finance tips, and career insights
  • Opportunities to be published on WSJ.com through WSJ Opinion’s Future View
  • Curated podcasts and newsletters that are relevant to your major
  • Exclusive events and offers through WSJ+
  • A discounted membership rate through the WSJ Grad Pack for two years following graduation
  • Access to WSJ Noted, a news and culture magazine dedicated to students and young professionals

Professors, too, can use WSJ resources. WSJ Context allows you to share reading lists and content with students. These resources and more are available to UT staff, as well. The digital archive goes back four years on a rolling basis.
