2nd Annual Bob Dylan “Forever Young” Concert
May 24, 7:30 pm, East TN History Center Auditorium
May 24 is Bob Dylan’s birthday and the library is celebrating with an all-Dylan concert performed by some of Knoxville’s finest musicians. Few musicians or poets have the impact that Dylan has on our nation. Almost everyone is familiar with his tunes if not his voice, and his songs are now part of the American canon. “Blowin’ in the Wind” is sung in nursing homes. And “Subterranean Homesick Blues” is sometimes called the first rap.
Produced by Steve Horton, artists for this special concert include Maggie Longmire and Free Soil Farm, Slow Blind Hill. Band of Humans, and Will Horton. Jack Rentfro is host.
There is a $10 admission fee. Proceeds will go to cultural programming at the Library. For more information please call 215-8729.
