Hours 10 - 15 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Preferred hours are to be scheduled during the following times, but not all required; Monday mornings: 8:30AM – 11:30AM, Tuesday - Friday: 10:00AM - 3:00PM


The Libraries’ Administration and Human Resources Office seeks a qualified student to assist in clerical duties, organizing, and providing customer service. 

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist library patrons by greeting visitors and answering the telephone
  • Assisting with SLA new hire paperwork
  • Assisting with payroll preparations
  • Assisting with Libraries and HR activities or events 
  • Creating graphics
  • Post student jobs 
  • Mail delivery
  • Filing/copying 
  • Entering information into Excel or Word
  • Assembling packets & mailings
  • Refurbishing supplies
  • Daily light office cleaning
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a current UT student (undergraduate or graduate)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt if needed
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively 
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience completing tasks and projects independently
  • Prior office experience
  • Familiar with Canva
  • Availability to work over breaks (Summer & Winter breaks)
