Student Library Assistant – Pendergrass Agriculture & Veterinary Medicine Library

Student Library Assistants assist in the operation of the Pendergrass Library on the Agriculture Campus.

Location: Pendergrass Library

Hours:

Schedule: 10 – 26 hours per week during the Fall and Spring semesters – August through May – during open hours (Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-midnight, Saturday: 10:00am-6:00pm, Sunday: 1:00pm – midnight) with the possibility to work during the Summer (Monday-Friday: 8:00am-6:00pm)

Responsibilities / Duties

  • Assist library patrons at the Service Desk
  • Maintain tidiness of library facilities
  • Print research posters, scan journal articles, re-shelve materials
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Required
  • Strong customer service skills, or ability and willingness to learn such skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills (document scanning, poster printing, etc.)
  • Accepting of differences
  • Ability to work independently and accurately
  • Proficiency with computers
