I. Announcements & Updates
TLA – The preliminary program is out. The Residents are presenting a program on residency programs.
National Diversity Conference – The deadline for proposals has been extended to February 2nd.
The Residents plan to submit a proposal.
International Festival – Abbas has made a reservation for a table. The date is April 16th.
Webpage – Kawanna has agreed to work with Jeffrey on a page for the Culture Corner. A more formally established page for the residency program is still needed. Molly suggested that the residents meet to discuss the content of such a site.
Student Recognition Event – JoAnne reported that most of the pictures have been taken. Five students have not yet responded on their book selection. Dianne shared the invitations she had prepared. Sheila is working on the food order. At least 150 people might attend. Thura has done the certificates.
Culture Corner – The suggestions received for the spring theme of the Corner were shared and discussed. The Committee voted “The Culture of Islam” as the new theme. Kawanna will send thank yous to all who sent theme suggestions. She will organize a group to get the new theme in place.
II. New Business
The need for archiving committee files so that all members could access them was discussed. Becky and Molly will look into this.
The next meeting will be February 26, 2004.
