  • Ad Age is well known for presenting accurate weekly information on marketing, advertising and the media. The section on Ad Age Data has circulation rankings, top global markets, and leading national advertisers.

  • American Democgraphics/Marketing Tools
  • American Demographics allows one to search past issues of their archive. Issues topics with data are available.

  • Clio Awards
  • Information on the Annual Clio Awards. The archvies can be searched by advertiser, ad agency, credited people, and media type.

  • John H.Hartman Center for Sales, Advertising, and Marketing History
  • Located at Duke University this is one of the nation's pre-eminet programs for the study of sales, adverstising, and marketing. One interesting image database they have is Emergence of Advertising in America:1859-1920, which is an online image database illustrating the rise of consumer culture, especially after the American Civil War. Connect to Ad* Access, an image database of over 9,000 advertisments printed in U.S. and Canada from 1911-1955.
