Ghada Rukab Eid

of Ghada Eid Ghada Rukab Eid works for Knox County Schools as a Reading Facilitator at Beaumont Magnet Elementary School in Knoxville, Tennessee. She has worked as a teacher at Beaumont Elementary since 1992.

Ghada was born in Jerusalem and is a Palestinian. She arrived in the United States at the age of seven, not able to speak the English language. This experience of adjusting to a new country helps her better understand some of the situations her immigrant students encounter at school. She speaks English, Arabic and has a large vocabulary in Spanish.

Ms Eid is currently enrolled in the Urban Specialist Certification Program at The University of Tennessee where she has also completed the Reading Recovery Certification Program (2000). She received her B.A in Education at Jacksonville University (1984) in Jacksonville, Florida where she grew up and worked as a teacher.
