Clara Lee Brown

Clara Lee Brown is Assistant Professor in Theory and Practice in Teacher Education at UT. She received her doctoral degree from The George Washington University. She was a fellow student from the Office of Language Acquisition (OELA) that oversees bilingual education in the U.S. Department of Education. She served as a research scientist for the Center for Equity and Excellence in Education at the George Washington University. She taught English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) in primary and secondary schools in Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland. She is native Korean and has resided in Knoxville since 2002.
