Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia
Offers concise entries searchable by subject. Includes brief biographies. Available to UT (Knoxville campus) faculty, staff, and students.


Reference Universe
Extensive database of over 5,000 searchable, authoritative subject encyclopedias and reference works. Includes back-of-the-book indexes. Search keywords, article titles, and index terms. The Libraries subscription to this database will be discontinued on 10/15/09. Available to UT (Knoxville campus) faculty, staff, and students.


Oxford Reference Online
In addition to over 100 dictionaries and handbooks, access is provided to the World Encyclopedia. Search all reference works simultaneously or browse individual titles. Available to UT (Knoxville campus) faculty, staff, and students.


World Almanacs
Includes the contents of: The World Almanac and Book of Facts, The World Almanac of the U.S.A., The World Almanac of U.S. Politics, The World Almanac for Kids, and Funk & Wagnalls New Encyclopedia. Available to UT (Knoxville campus) faculty, staff, and students.


Infoplease.com
A searchable web version of the Information Please Almanac. Be prepared to be assaulted by ads.


Encyclopedia.com
Free access to numerous encyclopedias and dictionaries including titles such as the Columbia Encyclopedia. Offers side-by-side comparisons of entries from different sources.


The Farmer's Almanac
The web version of the Old Farmer's Almanac. Among the features are: long-range weather forecasts, dates and locations of solar and lunar eclipses, days of the full moon, and the rise and set times of the sun and moon.
