Electronic Resource Use Guidelines

As the University of Tennessee has policies about information technology, the University of Tennessee Libraries (Knoxville campus) has guidelines for the use of electronic resources. The producers of the resources put restrictions on their use. In general, those restrictions include:

    • Currently enrolled students (Knoxville campus)
    • Faculty at UT (Knoxville campus)
    • Staff at UT (Knoxville campus)
    • Persons in the library at UT (Knoxville campus)
  • Off-campus/remote use is available for many, but not all, electronic resources to:
    • Only faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students at UT (Knoxville campus) may use the following for remote access:

    • Use in coursepacks without appropriate permissions

Additional restrictions may apply.

Misuse/violation of a license agreement may result in the termination of access to the electronic resource for the entire University of Tennessee (Knoxville campus) community.
