Retrospective collecting is performed to fill gaps in the collection, both monographs and journals.

Types of Materials Collected and Excluded

The types of materials added are primarily research journals, training manuals and handbooks, practical application journals, publications of national professional associations, and conference proceedings.

Formats of Materials Collected and Excluded

Primarily print materials are collected. Electronic and audiovisual publications are added selectively.

Cooperation with Other Libraries

No formal cooperative collection development agreements are in place.

Alternative Access to Resources

In addition to interlibrary loan, the collection of the UT Law Library is a source of materials not in the UT collection.

The program emphasizes child and family studies with concentrations in applied child development, family and human development, and family life education; nutrition; retailing and consumer sciences; home economics education with concentrations in home economics teacher education and family life education; interior design; and hotel and restaurant administration.
