in Entomology and Plant Pathology.

The program emphasizes the following subject areas: entomology, forest
protection, plant pathology and veterinary entomology.

Entomolgy and Plant Pathology overlaps with biology, zoology, forestry, and
plant and soil sciences.

English language materials are primarily collected.
Geographic Parameters
Primarily publications from the United States are collected. Foreign
materials in regard to plant pests and disease are also emphasized.
Chronological Scope
Emphasis is on current research, trends and regulations.
Dates of Publication
Primarily current publications are collected.
Retrospective Acquisitions
Retrospective collecting is primarily of selective journal backfiles.
Types of Materials Collected and Excluded
The types of materials collected are primarily texts relating to plant
pests and diseases; publications of international organizations and associations;
conference and symposia proceedings; and international, national and state
publications.
Formats of Materials Collected and Excluded
Primarily books and journals are collected.
Cooperation with Other Libraries
No formal cooperative collection development agreements are in place.
Alternative Access to Resources
Interlibrary loan is a source of materials not in the UT collection.
