Ed.D., and Ed.S. levels in Art and Music Education; Curriculum and Instruction;
Educational and Counseling Psychology; Educational Leadership; Educational
Administration & Supervision; Health, Leisure and Safety; Higher Education; Human
Performance and Sport Studies; Special Services Education; and Technological and
Adult Education.
Subject Description
The program emphasizes the study of instruction, methodology, testing,
counseling, physical education, health, leisure, and safety.
Overlap with Other Subjects
The College of Education overlaps with art, music, psychology,
administration and technology.
Languages Collected and Excluded
English is the primary language of the collection.
Geographic Parameters
Publications from the United States are primarily collected; materials from
Canada and Great Britain are collected on a secondary basis.
Chronological Scope
Emphasis is on current research.
Dates of Publication
Current publications are primarily collected; classic texts are added
selectively.
Retrospective Acquisitions
Retrospective collecting is performed under special circumstance.
Types of Materials Collected and Excluded
All materials are considered with emphasis on advanced texts, scholarly
monographs, and research publications and journals. Attention is paid to
publications on education legislation from accrediting agencies and professional
associations.
Formats of Materials Collected and Excluded
Loose-leaf services, computer media and microforms are considered as well
as print formats. Audio and visual materials are added selectively.
Cooperation with Other Libraries
No formal cooperative collection development agreements are in place.
Alternative Access to Resources
Interlibrary loan is a source of materials not in the UT collection.
