General Purpose

To support instruction and research at M.S. and Ph.D. levels in Biochemistry.

Subject Description

The program emphasizes the following subject areas: biochemical experimental techniques, biophysics, physiological chemistry, and cellular biochemistry.

Biochemistry overlaps with chemistry, physics, microbiology, zoology, and botany.

Languages Collected and Excluded

English is the primary language of the collection. Western European materials are added selectively.

The collection is international with an emphasis on publications from the United States and other English speaking countries.

Emphasis is on current research and developments.

Current publications are primarily collected.

Retrospective collecting is very limited.

Primarily texts, conference and symposia proceedings, international and national publications and research reports are collected.

Interlibrary loan is a source of materials not in the UT collection.
