The Digital Access Unit is the Technical Services portion of the Digital Library Center at the University of Tennessee. The unit's primary responsibilities are to digitize objects and provide metadata for them. The unit also creates procedures, best practices, and documentation for digitization and maintains a database of administrative and structural metadata for management and use of digital objects.
