• All users must sign an agreement form for the equipment that they use. This form states that you agree to abide by our loan policies.
• A valid UT ID must be presented at the time of checkout.

Equipment Certification

Online Camera Certification

You may complete camera certification online for regular digital cameras and digital video cameras. This does not include the digital SLR camera. The process will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Here are a few things you need to know before you get started:

• Flash Player 7 or above is required for this presentation.
• Audio is essential to this presentation. Turn on your speakers or put on headphones.
• A NetID login is required to make the loan agreement form work properly. If you are not prompted for your NetID, quit your browser and re-launch.

Online Digital Audio Recorder Certification

You may complete camera certification online for digital audio recorders. The process will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Here are a few things you need to know before you get started:

• A NetID login is required to make the loan agreement form work properly. If you are not prompted for your NetID, quit your browser and re-launch.

Other Equipment Certification

You must request a hands-on certification to use the digital SLR camera, the digital audio recorder, light kids, the green screens, or Kaidan VR tripod head. You may also request a hands-on certification for camera equipment if you prefer.

SLR and Light Kit Certifications are scheduled regularly on Tuesdays at 12:30 pm, 4:30 pm, 8:00 pm, and Wednesdays at 9:00 am. Email us to reserve your space at a certification session.
