Beyond GarageBand: Introduction to Pro Tools

Course Description

Description: This demonstration class is designed to introduce participants to Pro Tools, an industry-standard audio recording software. Learn how to connect equipment, record tracks, and edit and mix to complete an audio project.
Course Format:
This hour-long class will be a discussion and demonstration only. Although there is not a hands-on section, attendees should gain a basic understanding of the software.

none.

Course Objectives

  1. Present an overview of the Pro Tools interface.
  2. Demonstrate basic recording techniques in Pro Tools.
  3. Demonstrate basic editing and mixing functions of Pro Tools.

Course Outcomes

  1. Participants should gain a basic understanding of the features of Pro Tools.
  2. Participants should be able to create a basic arrangement and mix in Pro Tools.
