Photoshop 1: Poster Concepts

Course Description

Description: Welcome to the world of layout and design! This real-world practical approach to Photoshop will demonstrate how to pull many of the features and tools of this program together to create finished projects such as ads, flyers, posters, etc., from start to finish.
Course Format:
This hour-long hands-on class will get you through a layout from start to finish.

Course Objectives

  1. Present an overview of the Photoshop workspace and its elements.
  2. Introduce characteristics of digital images.
  3. Focus on the main tools used for basic image editing including move tool, selection tools, text tool, layers, layer styles, and free transform.
  4. Combine multiple images into one document.

Course Outcomes

  1. Participants should gain an understanding of the characteristics of a digital image (resolution, color mode, etc.).
  2. Participants should gain an understanding of Photoshop layers.
  3. Participants should be familiar with the default Photoshop workspace and its palettes and tools.
