iLife - Advanced Editing: iMovie
Course Description
Description: The advanced editing class expands
on the previous class by using included components within iMovie
to complete a prefabricated video as close to the original as possible
in a hands-on approach.
Course Format: 1 hour hands-on class
Prerequisite: If you do not have prior experience with
basic digital video editing, take the Introduction to Digital Video
course before this course.

Course Objectives
- View video created in iMovie.
- Demonstrate editing features of iMovie by recreating the video screened.
- Demonstrate audio editing capabilities of iMovie.
- Identify key menus and interface controls associated with editing.
- Discuss export and delivery options for videos created in iMovie.
- Discuss the use of additional applications available in The Studio for advanced editing.
Course Outcomes
- Participants should gain an understanding of advanced editing, menus, and interface features of iMovie.
- Participants should be able to recreate the screened video using editing tools in iMovie.
- Participants should be able to identify advantages and weaknesses of iMovie's advanced editing features.
- Participants should be able to identify the major export options available and select an appropriate option for a finished iMovie.
- Participants should be able to identify external applications that are useful in bulding iMovie projects.
