University Archives
The University Archives maintains the institutional legacy of the University. We are dedicated to the organization and preservation of University materials, and making these materials available for research.
The University Archives collects and maintains the published works of the University of Tennessee. This includes the University of Tennessee Press publications, in addition to a wide variety of materials produced by faculty, students, academic departments, administrative offices, campus organizations and the UT Athletic Department.
The University Archives is the repository for the official unpublished records of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. These historically important materials date from the early nineteenth century and include the papers of UT Presidents, minutes of the Boards of Trustees, records of student organizations, and files from most of the University's academic departments and administrative offices.
Together, these materials document the history and scholarship of the University, by providing researchers with information on alumni, campus life and activities, and local and regional history.
