A March 14 event will celebrate the Library Friends’ annual gift to the UT Libraries. Botanist Ron Petersen will detail the significance of Deo Optimo Max, a rare 1725 work on plants of the Appalachian Mountains.

Retired UT botanist Alan S. Heilman donated his life’s work of color-film photographs of plants to the UT Libraries. To preserve the images, the Libraries digitized them and created an online collection.
