ITC Open House

Library Training would like to take a group to the Innovative Technology Center (ITC) Open House next Tuesday, Sept. 9. This event is scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. at their new location in the Kingston Pike Building. Come see the setting for most of IT on campus. Food, door prizes and interactive activities to engage your senses (see, hear, click!) will be offered. For more info, see the ITC website at: http://itc.utk.edu/events/.

We can take the Orange Trolley Line there and back and will be meeting at the Ground Floor entrance of Hodges at 2:30 p.m. We will leave the event around 4 p.m.

BiWeekly Timesheet Change

The pay period ending 09/28/08 was missing from the Biweekly Timesheet Template.  This has been corrected. It will be necessary for all biweekly employees to download the corrected template from: http://info.lib.utk.edu/share/training/myforms/

  • Building Conflict Management Skills: Nov. 4th 9am-12pm, Hodges 605
  • Myers-Briggs Type Indicator: Dec. 2nd 1.30-4.30pm, Hodges 605

Fall Training Update

Please note that the date of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator class on the Fall Training Schedule has been changed to December 2. It will still be in Room 605 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and is offered by Campus HR. Visit http://uthr.admin.tennessee.edu/tandd to register for this class.

Registration for these three classes must be done through Campus HR. Their registration system will be open at the end of August, and Library Training will update you when it becomes available. When the system does become open for registration for the Campus HR classes, call 974-6657 or go to http://uthr.admin.tennessee.edu/tandd to reserve a spot.

Podcasting class - Room change

Attention! The room for the Podcasting class on July 16 has changed. It will now be in Room 127 from 2:30 to 3:30pm (the time is the same).

Join us for this interesting class—as part of Training Day 2.0—taught by Trisha Brady. Learn how to create tutorials or fun, informational narratives that your users can download to their computers or mp3 players.
