Biography:

Percy G. Adams has been translator, editor, and collaborator for books including, Crevecoeur's Eighteenth-Century Travels in Pennsylvania and New York (1961), Alexandre Olivier Exquemelin, The Buccaneers of America (1967), Woodes Rogers A Cruising Voyage around the World (1970), The Oldest Revolutionary: Essays on Benjamin Franklin (1976), and Graces of Harmony: Alliteration, Assonance, and Consonance in Eighteenth-Century British Poetry (1977).

Focusing primarily on Franco-British and Franco-American works, Adams has conducted extensive study in comparative literature . Adams specializes in the Restoration Period, eighteenth century, and travel literature. Percy G. Adams is currently Professor Emeritus at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN.
