The Great Smoky Mountains Regional Project provides support for researchers at all levels who study the Smokies and the surrounding communities. The Project consists of three major areas of emphasis:

• The Great Smoky Mountains Regional Bibliography which will, upon completion, contain a comprehensive annotated listing of all pre-1935 published items on the region;

• The Great Smoky Mountains Regional Collection, an ongoing effort to collect and preserve material on the region;

• And Digital Collections such as the Dutch Roth Photographs.
