  • Provides access to a wide range of news, business, legal information, and U.S. and foreign newspapers. Contains Latin American Weekly Report and PR Newswire Latin America (in English, Spanish and Portuguese). LexisNexis Congressional Research Digital Collection provides access to CRS Reports, which are full text policy reports dealing with political and economic issues of Latin American countries and U.S foreign policy.

  • Full text access to over 200 publishers. Can search by broad subject or area or specific title. Sample titles important to Latin American Politics are: Latin American Politics and Society, Economia, and Latin American Research Review.

  • Indexes United Nations documents since 1946, including official records.

  • This is a full text archive of core scholarly journals. Significant holdings are in the areas of economics, political science, Latin American Studies, and statistics. Used advanced search to search by title or subject area.

  • Connect to collection of over 10,000 electronic books. Several titles on issues related to Latin American politics.

  • PAIS (Public Affairs Information Service)
  • Included are references to over 500,000 journal articles, books, government documents, statistical directories, and conference reports.

  • World Bank E-Library
  • A collection of World Bank documents, including Policy Research Working Papers and new publications as they become available. (Example: Labor Demand and Trade Reform in Latin America)

  • Economic development data from 551 statistical series for over 200 countries and ethnic groups. Data can be exported into excel spreadsheets.

  • Current economic and political information and risk analysis for foreign nations. Country Analysis and Forecasting provides comprehensive analysis, including country risk ratings, of the political, economic, and business environments within 186 countries. Also includes daily analysis of international events affecting business.

  • Hispanic American Periodicals Index (HAPI)
  • Access to over 400 social sciences and humanities periodical from and about Latin America from 1970-present. Is an index to journals that will analyze current political, economic, and social issues of the region. Is not full-text, but is worth looking at.
