Encylopedias

  • Grand Dictionnaire Encyclopedique Larousse

  • This work derives many of its encyclopedic entries from the 20 volume La Grande Encyclopedie(Reference AE25.G7 1971) . The majority of the articles are short with liberal use of illustrations. Bibliographies are provided for major articles.

  • Le Petit Larousse Illustre
    Reference AG25.P43 2003
  • Two sections, a monolingual dictionary and encyclopedia, comprise this work. The encyclopedia section gives brief biographical, historical and geographical data. Also included are lists of classical and foreign quotations and French proverbs. Color illustrations and maps are abundant.
