  • The first part of this guide covers basic research tools such as national bibliographies and encyclopedias. The second section includes studies of the French language. The third part covers bibliographies, studies, histories, and anthologies on periods of literature and on French literature outside of France. An author-title index concludes the work.

  • The primary purpose of this work is to expedite the early stages of literary research. Bibliographic citations are provided for French Literature (including sources for individual authors), French Language, French Language and Literature outside of France, Romance Philology and Occitan studies, and related areas. Author and subject indexes are included.
