Journalism and Mass Communications Databases (through UTK Libraries):
Features UTK databases that will be most useful for journalism and electronic media subject specific searches. Includes a section of "also see" databases which lists general or non JEM subject-specific databases which may also include relevant information.
Main Databases:Communication & Mass Media Complete: "This database is comprised of two popular databases in the fields of communication and mass media studies -- CommSearch (formerly produced by the National Communication Association (NCA)), and Mass Media Articles Index (formerly produced by Pennsylvania State University)."
ComAbstracts: "ComAbstracts is an OpenURL-enabled database of article abstracts, books, bibliographic records, and other sources of relevance to researchers, scholars, and students interested in fields related to human communication studies (mass communication, human interaction, rhetoric, health communication, communication and new media, journalism, communication history, etc.)."
Business Source Premier
Provides full text coverage to business and industry publications.
LexisNexis Academic Provides online content from print and broadcast news sources, including media trade journals, transcripts and audio files for selected broadcasts.
Sage Journals Online: "SAGE Publications publishes over 485 journals in Business, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Science, Technology and Medicine. SAGE Journals Online is the delivery platform that provides online access to the full text of individual SAGE journals."
