Dr. Benjamin Bates' (UTK Department of Broadcasting) well organized page gets you to information on broadcasting, networks, technology,and the economics of information and telecommunication. A good place to start for public policy information.

Virtual Library for Broadcasters:

Part of the virtual library from Oxford University. Broadcasting section is broken down by country.

Media Awareness Network: Statistics and Public Opinion:

Statistics on radio, television, film, video, and Internet ownership, production, and marketing.

AJR News Link:

From American Journalism Review. Has excellent selection of radio and television network and station sites, both U.S. and non U.S.

Television News Archive:

Includes abstracts of evening news broadcasts from ABC, NBC, and CBS going back to 1968. Searchable by keyword and date.

Zap2it:

A guide to onscreen TV, Movies, Internet. Has weekly Nielsen ratings.
