Guide to English Language & Literature
Indexes & Abstracts
Although the MLA International Bibliography is the primary index to literary research, UTK Libraries does provide access to many other indexes and abstracts. Some of these are electronic databases; some are printed indexes. Some will index articles from literary sources; others will cover a more general selection of periodicals. Many of these resources can also be accessed from a home or campus computer. View the full database list for details about remote access. In most cases you will also need to check the UTK online catalog for holdings, call numbers, and locations of materials held by UTK Libraries. Some databases provide a link to any online form of the articles found; look for the SFX@UTK link.
