ASTM Standards Database, also known as IHS, contains the full-text of all current and active ASTM standards. In addition bibliographic information is provided for standards from organizations all over the world. UT students, faculty and staff have access to a deposit account for ordering non-subscribed standards through Interlibrary Services.

Selecting ASTM Standards from the Databases menu

Searching for a known standard number and then for the word flanges; limiting to Subscription Only

Obtaining non-subscribed standards through Interlibrary Services

Databases either contain electronic copies of journal, magazine, and newspaper articles, engineering standards or citations to these articles.

A citation describes the publication information of an article but does not give the full text. Example:

A good buy - The new Brooklyn bridge
Anon Source: Steel Times International, v 29, n 2, February/March, 2005, p 28+30

In the case of citations, you will need to click on the icon provided in the database to determine whether full text/print is available. Or if there is no FindText icon, you will need to look in the UT Libraries Catalog.
