EndNote Web - Cite While You Write
To use the Cite While You Write feature in EndNote Web, you must install a plugin. Click on Format Paper. Then click on Cite While You Write Plug-in and install.
Open Microsoft Word. Notice the EndNote toolbar at the top of the window. Place your cursor where you would like to place your first in-text citation and click on the magnifying glass in the EndNote toolbar.
A search box will pop up. Type in an author or keyword to search your EndNote citations. Choose the one you want and click Insert.
EndNote Web will automatically generate your in-text citation and begin your bibliography.
To reformat your paper in another output style, click the Format Bibliography button in the EndNote toolbar. In the output style drop-down menu, choose your output style and click ok.
