Frequently Used Tools:

GIS Assistance

If your research project involves displaying data over geographic areas, you may want to use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology to create a map. GIS technology is somewhat complex, but enables the researcher to incorporate multiple geographic features and subject data into a single graphical presentation.

For information about GIS resources and assistance available at UT, see the GIS@UT page.

If you are a current or prospective GIS user, or are just interested in the use of GIS technology on the UT campus, you may want to participate in a discussion forum sponsored by the University Libraries once or twice a year. For more information, please see the Data Services News and Activities page.
