Current Review Sources
Most cinema related journals provide reviews of recently released films in each issue. When looking for current reviews, the following sources are good places to start:

This online database indexes cinema-related journals such as Film Comment (1984-), Film Culture (1992-1996), Film History (2000-), Film Quarterly (1990-), and Films in Review (1990-1996).
Online access to BBC Film Reviews.
This online database indexes sources with regular reviews of current releases ;The New Yorker, The Nation, The Los Angeles Times and The New York Times. Expanded Academic ASAP also indexes cinema journals such as Cineaste, Film Comment and Film Quarterly. To search for movie reviews, type in, for example, matrix AND reviews.
H-Net Reviews in the Humanities and Social Sciences is an online scholarly review resource.
Covers most of the major newspapers. A "Quick News Search" can be done: huckabees AND review.
An index to five daily U.S. Newspapers (The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Christian Science Monitor, The Washington Post and The Los Angeles Times).
This web site will allow you to search for movie reviews in national and regional newspapers. Some of the results are far-out, but all in all its a good resource for locating current reviews.

Covers major cinema/film journals from 1929 - 1984. Example search: "deliverance AND reviews".
Often overlooked, but a very useful resource for finding film reviews in popular periodical literature. Many cinema journals were indexed in Reader's Guide prior to their coverage in International Index to Film Periodicals. See heading "motion picture reviews" after 1977. For film reviews prior to 1977, movie reviews are listed under the heading "moving picture plays--criticisms, plots, etc. picture reviews."

Goes back to 1972, which means you can still find Film Quarterly's original review of Deliverance!
Quite useful for its quality and scope. It's the only index that is regularly updated and covers trade, popular and scholarly periodicals.
