From A&E, the Arts and Entertainment network. Brief biographies representing over 20,000 lives from antiquity to the present.

Biographical Dictionary
Search the dictionary "by names, birth years, death years, positions held, professions, literary and artistic works, miscellaneous achievements, and other keywords."

Biographical Directory of the United States Congress, 1774 to Present
Along with biographical information are bibliographies and sources of research collections that lead, respectively, to additional biographical material and to collections housing documents such as personal papers. Search by last name, first name, position, state, or by combinations of any of these.

Presidents of the United States (POTUS)
Provides "background information, election results, cabinet members, notable events, and some points of interest on each of the presidents." Useful inclusion of links to "biographies, historical documents, audio and video files, and other presidential sites."

Rulers
"Lists of heads of state and heads of government...of all countries and territories, usually going back to at least 1900." Dates of birth and death provided for each ruler as well as term of office. Search by country, international organization, and by foreign ministers.
