Chinese Language Capability in Windows XP
1. Click "Start" in the lower left corner of your screen and go to "Control Panel."
2. Open "Regional and Language Options" (you may need to switch to "Classic View").
3. Select the "Languages" tab and open Languages options.
4. Choose "Install Files for East Asian Languages." You may be asked to insert your Windows XP installation CD. After the installation is complete, restart your computer.
5. Go back to the Languages tab and select "Details" to open the "Text Services and Input Options" window.
6. Select "Chinese (Taiwan)" or "Chinese (Pinyin)."
7. For "Chinese (Taiwan)," choose "Microsoft New Phonetic IME 2002a" keyboard layout. Click "OK" and "apply"
and close the control panel.
8. You should now see a Chinese language bar in the lower right corner of your screen. Click the "EN" icon to
select keyboard input language. |
