Reformatting

The reformatting unit coordinates the selection and reformatting (microfilming, preservation photocopying, film and video conversion) of endangered and deteriorating materials.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinating selection of materials for reformatting with subject librarians
  • Preparing materials to be sent to reformatting facilities
  • Advising subject librarians regarding the most appropriate format for materials.

The Preservation Office does not currently digitize material in the reformatting program.
