Reformatting
The reformatting unit coordinates the selection and reformatting (microfilming, preservation photocopying, film and video conversion) of endangered and deteriorating materials.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinating selection of materials for reformatting with subject librarians
- Preparing materials to be sent to reformatting facilities
- Advising subject librarians regarding the most appropriate format for materials.
The Preservation Office does not currently digitize material in the reformatting program.
