Environmental Monitoring Reports
The Preservation Office received two Preservation Environment
Monitors (PEMs), along with Climate Notebook software, through a
grant trial conducted by the Image Permanence Institute at the Rochester
Institute of Technology and sponsored by the National Endowment
for Humanities. The monitors have been used to track temperature
and relative humidity in four branches and departments of UT Libraries.
The Climate Notebook software is an analysis tool and produces reports
that illustrate the effects of the conditions on library materials.
