About This Tutorial
This tutorial is meant to answer the question, "How do
I get
access to the books and articles that I need?"
for all UT Distance
Education students, staff, and faculty.
To get started you will need to know two pieces of information:
- What
is my NetID and Password?
- Am I a registered library user?
- Note: If you have not checked out books before, you will need
to make sure that you are currently a registered UT Library user.
While browsing in the catalog, be sure to click on "My Account"
and attempt to log in and view your information. If the system recognizes
you, then you are a registered user. If you cannot log in and view
your account information, then you may not be in the system yet.
To get entered into the system, contact us.
Within this tutorial we will focus on a specific example of a nonexistent
student named Sam Wilson. We will first assume that Sam has never
used ILLiad before, but has one book and one article in mind that
he would like to have access to.
