UT Research Magazine: Scientia

Scientia is the research magazine for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Pronounced "skee-EN-tee-uh," scientia is Latin for "knowledge, acquaintance, or skill," and is derived from the verb scire, "to know" or "to understand."
The mission of Scientia is:

to celebrate the understandings achieved in research, scholarship, and creative activity at the university

to honor the faculty, staff, and students who brought those accomplishments about, and

to share that knowledge with the people of Tennessee and the nation who have a stake in the university's success.
