Culture Corner at Pendergrass
Culture Corner is a continuous event at the UT Libraries. Sponsored by the Libraries' Diversity Committee, Culture Corner focuses on topics, or themes, pertaining to different aspects of diversity. These topics change with each semester. The Summer 2007 Culture Corner focuses on Disabilities Awareness.

The eXtension Wildlife Damage Management Web site is an excellent resource to get information about managing wildlife problems. The content has been developed through the collaboration of nationally recognized wildlife biologists, nuisance wildlife control operators, educators and people interested in the field of human-wildlife relations.
The eXtension Wildlife Damage Management Web site also features the following:
•Frequently Asked Questions allows users to submit queries about wildlife management.
•Ask the Expert provides an answer to questions not already available in the Frequently Asked Questions section with a usual response within 24 hours.
•News & Upcoming Events keeps the news and calendar of events current at the local, state and national levels.
•Glossary & Diseases list terms and illnesses that are commonly found in wildlife damage management.

PubMed's new AbstractPlus display shows the titles of the top five related Articles and is now the default display for single records. The new format provides seamless access to the powerful pre-computed similarities available as Related Articles in the PubMed database.

Student ID moving to Computer Generated
--- Student IDs will change from Social Security numbers to computer-generated student IDs. Students will be informed by e-mail beginning the first week of June to increase information security. To see their new IDs, students will log on to Circle Park Online, go to the Registration Status screen and select View Student Profile on the left-hand navigation bar. Students' old VolCards will continue to provide all the services they currently have. For more info, call 974-2101, e-mail registrar@utk.edu, or visit the Office of the University Registrar, 209 Student Services Building.

Xreferplus is an online database that enables users to find authoritative answers on a broad range of subjects fast. It features content from hundreds of reference books like The Macquarie Dictionary of Trees & Shrubs, The 41st Edition of Black's Medical Dictionary, and Benders' Dictionary of Nutrition and Food Technology.

MMWR is a weekly report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention featuring statistical data and research reports dealing with morbidity and mortality issues in the United States.
