Beyond GarageBand: Introduction to Pro Tools
Course Description
Description: This demonstration class is designed
to introduce participants to Pro Tools, an industry-standard audio recording
software. Learn how to connect equipment, record tracks, and edit and
mix to complete an audio project.
Course Format: This hour-long class will be a discussion and
demonstration only. Although there is not a hands-on section, attendees
should gain a basic understanding of the software.
Prerequisite: none.

Course Objectives
- Present an overview of the Pro Tools interface.
- Demonstrate basic recording techniques in Pro Tools.
- Demonstrate basic editing and mixing functions of Pro Tools.
Course Outcomes
- Participants should gain a basic understanding of the features of Pro Tools.
- Participants should be able to create a basic arrangement and mix in Pro Tools.
