Photoshop 4: Ready for the Web
Course Description
Description: Are you ready to move your images
to the internet? This class will teach you how to slice and create
rollover images and many more techniques to get your photos ready
for the web.
Course Format: This hour-long hands-on class will get you
through a layout from start to finish.
Prerequisite: Basic Photoshop knowledge or have taken our
Photoshop 1 class or the OIT Photoshop class.

Course Objectives
- Explore the differences between jpg and gif files.
- Learn about options when saving images for the web.
- Learn to use Photoshop automation features to create a web photo gallery from selected images.
- Learn how to create a webpage design with layers in Photoshop and send the file to edit in ImageReady.
- Learn how to create slices, rollovers, and links in ImageReady.
Course Outcomes
- Participants should gain an understanding about web image file types and options for saving pictures from Photoshop for the web.
- Participants should be able to use the photo gallery creation tools in Photoshop to generate a web photo gallery from selected images.
- Participants should know how to use layers to plan for rollovers when designing images that will become a website.
- Participants should gain an understanding of the relationship between Photoshop and ImageReady for image-based website creation.
- Participants should be able to create a basic website with links and rollovers using Photoshop and ImageReady.
