Photoshop 3: Photo Collage

Course Description

Description: Interested in the artistic side of Photoshop? Are you ready to make more complex image collages - as realistic or surreal as you desire? We will help you learn to combine images from multiple sources and teach you some techniques for blending them effectively.
Course Format:
This hour-long hands-on class will get you through a layout from start to finish.
Prerequisite:
Basic Photoshop knowledge or have taken our Photoshop 1 class or the OIT Photoshop class.

Course Objectives

  1. Present techniques for combining images into a photo collage.
  2. Expand knowledge of selection tools, layer properties, filters, and image adjustment tools by using the extract tool, eraser, blend modes, opacity, color balance, and brightness / contrast tools.
  3. Explore image resolution issues when working with multiple images.

Course Outcomes

  1. Participants should gain an understanding of some techniques used to combine multiple images.
  2. Participants should gain a deeper understanding of Photoshop tools, layer properties, and image adjustment techniques.
  3. Participants should start to become familiar with the process of extracting portions of an image.
