iLife - Sound Creation / Editing: GarageBand
Course Description
Description: This production class is designed
to introduce participants to GarageBand, Apple's music creation/recording
software.
Course Format: 20 minutes of lecture followed by 40 minutes
for hands-on practice and questions.

Course Objectives
- Present an overview of the GarageBand interface.
- Demonstrate basic components of an arrangement.
- Demonstrate recording from an external sound input or microphone.
- Demonstrate working with GarageBand loops.
- Demonstrate working with the video track in GarageBand to score an iMovie project.
- Demonstrate working with the podcast track in GarageBand to create an enhanced podcast.
Course Outcomes
- Participants should gain a basic understanding of the features of GarageBand.
- Participants should be able to construct a basic arrangement in GarageBand using both GarageBand loops and an external recording device.
- Participants should gain a basic understanding of using GarageBand when creating an enhanced podcast or when working with an iMovie video file.
