Room Policy
The library maintains group viewing facilities that are available to faculty for group use of multimedia, electronic, and networked resources. Rooms may be reserved for video, computer presentaions, audio, slide, slide-sound, and overhead projection. An intercom connects the viewing rooms with the service desk.
Group viewing rooms include ethernet access with RJ-45 ports and wireless capability.Users who wish to check equipment operation and compatibility may schedule an appointment ahead of time.
Please reserve the rooms in advance by using our online reservation form, telephone, email, or in person at the Media Center service desk. Specify what equipment you will need to be using. In addition to class-time use, we offer scheduled viewings, multiple viewings, and weekend viewings. The Lindsay Young Auditorium is available for all the above and for speakers from the departments, programs, and organizations of the UT community. Arrangements may be made up to two semesters in advance. UT faculty or staff may make reservations; reservations on behalf of student groups must be made by the group's faculty advisor.
Because this facility is dedicated to use of media, group viewing rooms are not routinely available for purposes other than those cited; neither may they be scheduled as alternative classrooms. The Library assumes no responsibility for personal materials used in conjunction with our facilities, and the department offers no support for resources other than those provided as part of the Media Center.
