Geographic Information Science at the University of Tennessee
Welcome to the GIS@UT home page. This site, maintained by UT Map Services, acts as a clearinghouse for GIS resources (faculty, classes, facilities, library materials) at the University of Tennessee. It is intended that this site will help inform the faculty and students of the University of Tennessee about the current opportunities, resources and state of technology available on campus. In addition, this site is the University of Tennessee's membership portfolio to the University Consortium for Geographic Information Science (UCGIS) www.ucgis.org. The UCGIS is a nonprofit that acts:
- To serve as an effective, unified voice for the geographic information science research community;
- To foster multidisciplinary research and education; and
- To promote the informed and responsible use of geographic information science and geographic analysis for the benefit of society.
